Howard Stern sues employer
Howard Stern Sues His Own Employer, SiriusXMRadio shock jock Howard Stern, also known as the King of All Media, is suing SirusXM radio for unpaid bonuses in a new lawuit filed in New York City today.
The suit alleges that SiriusXM owes Howard Stern for attracting new subscribers. However, SiriusXM claims that once they merged with XM back in 2008, that new subscribers acquired did not count toward his incentives. Howard believes that the merge between Sirius and XM was made possible simply because he was linked with Sirius in the first place.
Stern alleges the subscriber estimates on which his stock bonuses were to be based ranged from 3.7 million in 2006 to 12.1 million in 2010. According to Stern, he actually blew those estimates out of the water and Sirius today has a subscriber base of more than 20 million subscribers.
So the battle begins.
Howard Stern listeners are likely to hear him rant about the situation, Howard has never been known to keep quiet about things. This wouldn’t exactly be the first time this has happened. When Stern worked for WXRK he would often rant about CBS until his eventual departure in 2005.
