Is Oprah wooing Pippa Middleton for OWN show?
Is Oprah wooing Pippa Middleton for OWN show? Pippa Middleton, the royal sister of Kate Middleton, has been making headlines since her big sister’s infamous wedding to Prince William. The 27-year-old has been mentioned in the finale of Glee, plastic surgeons report that her backside is the most request by patients and now several tabloids are reporting she is getting her own show on OWN.

In Touch reports, “Oprah is making a huge play for Pippa to star in her own reality show for OWN,” while the Enquirer says Winfrey wants the younger Middleton to “host her own [talk] show” on the network.

An Enquirer “source” explains that Winfrey thinks the show would get “great ratings” because Pippa’s “on fire – and Americans are obsessed with the royals.”

Pippa supposedly “doesn’t want to make any big decisions until Kate… [gets] settled into her new life,” claims the source.

But there is some conflicting information.

A spokesperson for the network tells Gossip Cop, “There’s no truth to the rumor that OWN is developing a series with Pippa Middleton.”

Pippa hits Madrid with old flame
Pippa hits Madrid with old flame - and the girls
It has only been a few days since Pippa Middleton was at the centre of speculation that she was about to tie the knot with her devoted boyfriend Alex Loudon.
But the City trader was nowhere to be seen when 27-year-old Pippa flew to Madrid for a weekend away with the girls...and her ex.
She was relaxed and happy in the company of old flame George Percy, the 26-year-old son of the Duke of Northumberland, one of Britain’s richest men.

They dated while at Edinburgh University, where they were also flatmates, and have been friends for nearly ten years.
George helped Pippa with her luggage, pushing their trolley through Madrid airport on Friday, before heading to a hotel.
They emerged with friends at dusk, with Pippa carrying a bottle of champagne in a red bag, and headed to nearby Fortuna nightclub, one of Madrid’s most exclusive.
And if it was a heavy night, Pippa wasn’t going to let it show, emerging yesterday morning sporting dark sunglasses and wearing a strapless black-and-white spotted sundress as she led her friends on a shopping and sightseeing trip, tourist map in hand.
After a few hours on their feet the group stopped at a cafe for a glass of wine. Pippa was spotted stifling a laugh as she gave her approval to photographs taken on a friend’s camera.

Pippa Middleton Paparazzi
As Prince William and Kate Middleton honeymoon in a secluded spot, the paparazzi who stalk them are embroiled in another Middleton controversy. There's a brewing legal battle over publication of 5-year-old photographs of Pippa Middleton sunbathing topless. Younger sister of Kate Middleton, Pippa was maid of honor at the April 29 royal wedding. Adding to the anger against photographers is news that gruesome photographs of the late Princess Diana in the moments after her fatal 1997 car crash are appearing in a documentary about her death to be shown at the Cannes Film Festival.. The publication of the Pippa pictures - showing the 27-year-old on a powerboat with older sister Kate (in a revealing bikini) and William (in a red and white bathing suit) - prompted the Middleton family to file a formal petition to Britain's independent Press Complaints Commission.

That complaint is seen as the first salvo in what is expected to be a conflict between the monarchy and the press as both sides try to establish boundaries in a new royal era defined by William and Middleton, now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and their determination to live a normal life.

The prince and his bride jetted off this week to a secret honeymoon spot in the Seychelles that royal watchers believe was chosen specifically to keep them out of the lenses of the paparazzi.

"That and security would have been of primary importance," said Joe Little, managing editor of Majesty magazine. "We've known for a long time William would not stand for any nonsense regarding his new wife and her family."

Many Britons - mindful of how Princess Diana was tracked by the paparazzi in the moments leading to her fatal car crash - want the new royal couple, and the rest of the Middleton clan, to be able to move about without facing a constant barrage of flashing cameras.

pippa middleton sunbathing
Pippa Middleton sunbathing bikini photos have remained a hot topic since the royal wedding of her sister Kate Middleton (Duchess of Cambridge) and Prince William on April 29th.

Pippa Middleton donned a Sarah Burton Alexander McQueen gown and her star power shot threw the roof. It seemed like every few days a new crop of photos would turn up.

Now the Middleton family is taking action in Britain against four major publications that have published the images, including The Daily Mail and The Daily Mirror.

The family has filed a formal complaint to Britain's independent Press Complaints Commission.

According to OTRC, the commission will determine whether the publications who published the photos have violated Middleton's privacy, or whether there are any "public right to know" issues which would justify publication. European law protects privacy and free expression, leaving interpretation up to judges to determine which apply.

The topic of intense paparazzi attention and it's negative impact isn't new territory for the royal family. The paparazzi has long been blamed for the death of Princess Diana in 1997.

Although, a new film, "Unlawful Killing" which will show a Princess Diana death photo moments after the fatal car crash, alleges there was a conspiracy.
