Alec baldwin Twitter
Alec baldwin Twitter. Alec Baldwin joins Twitter, shares thoughts on Jared Lee Loughner and jokes with niece. Ladies and gentlemen, Alec Baldwin has joined Twitter.

(By the way, gentlemen, we hope you're wearing your tuxes. It's after 6 p.m.)

Baldwin established his new (verified, obv) Twitter profile on Friday afternoon, which you can follow at @Alec_Baldwin. As of this writing, he follows ten twitter accounts. The elite few are Purpose.com, its founder Jeremy Heimans, and a guy named James Slezak, who is in charge of business strategy and environmental ventures for the site.

He also follows NBC, NBC's official "30 Rock" account, co-star Tracy Morgan, and Jane Krakowski's character's account, @JennaMaroneyTGS. (Who knew Baldwin was a fan of the role-play? Well, some people probably knew.)

Last but very certainly not least he follows Steve Martin and President Barack Obama.

He spent his first few tweets reflecting on the amount of alcohol consumed the night before, a "Hunt for Red October" drinking game, and sharing a playful inside joke with his niece, Hailey Baldwin -- his brother Stephen's daughter.

Later, Baldwin heard of the fact that Jared Lee Loughner, the man charged with the Arizona shooting that killed six people and injured U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords, has been declared unfit to stand trial after an outburst in the courtroom. Baldwin isn't convinced.

"Outburst in the courtroom. Spooked the court shrinks. Damn... You can pick up that trick watching LAW AND ORDER."

The man can get in an NBC plug anywhere.

Katy Perry in Twitter Feud with Calvin Harris Over Tour
'It seemed pointless me even being there': Calvin Harris enters Twitter feud with Katy Perry after pulling out of UK tour
Katy Perry and Calvin Harris have had a very public bust-up over Twitter after the Flashback star pulled out of her UK shows.

Calvin was scheduled to open for Katy’s gigs but cancelled at the last minute after being angered over set arrangements.

The furious I Kissed A Girl singer vented on Twitter, posting: ‘Calvin Harris will NOT be joining in on the fun and has CANCELLED last minute.’

To which Calvin, 27, replied: ‘Sorry to all who wanted to see me with Katy – her team suddenly moved the goalposts and I was to appear on stage with no production.’

Russell Brand’s wife Katy hit back again with: ‘The goalpost seems to be perfectly fine for New Young Pony Club, Yelle, Robyn, Marina & The Diamonds, to name a few.

‘Or how bout Janell Monae and her 16 piece band… It’s fine, I’m used to you cancelling on me, it’s become ur staple!’

Calvin then tried to explain by tweeting: ‘It would have looked s***, sounded s*** - trust me you would have been more disappointed SEEING the show than u are with me cancelling.’

He then began complimenting Perry, tweeting: ‘Her show is AWESOME, you’ll have an amazing time without me. (especially w/o me DJing on a cardboard box in front of a pink curtain)

And then apologised, posting: ‘I’m really sorry @katyperry I’m just upset because I really wanted to play but ur team made it impossible.

‘We tried really hard to sort it out, but playing side of stage for 30 mins, it seemed pointless me even being there. Didn’t intend to cause offence or upset anybody.’

But Calvin’s cancellation seemed to spark fury with Katy Perry fans also, who started sending abuse to the DJ.

Calvin retaliated by tweeting: ‘WTF are Katy Perry fans telling me to KILL MYSELF on twitter for? Seriously. I’m a producer making music. Leave me alone please thanks x’

Despite the debacle, Katy still hit the stage last night at Dublin’s O2 Arena as part of her California Dreams Tour.

The star was mobbed outside her hotel yesterday by fans, with one waiting for Katy to autograph his photo of her.

But the singer was no doubt disappointed with his photo choice, as he held onto a copy of the make-up free picture of Katy that Russell Brand famously posted on Twitter in January.

The 26-year-old was said to be furious at Brand for putting the photo on the social networking site but her fans still seem to be enjoying it.

App tops iTunes chart Katy Perry's Revenge 2
A free, two-song version of Katy Perry's Revenge has rocked its way up to the top of the App Store charts.
Sponsored by Microsoft's search engine Bing, Katy Perry's Revenge 2 lets you tap your way through Perry's smash song "Firework" and her latest hit, "E.T.," featuring Kanye West.

In case you've never played a Tap Tap Revenge game before, you're challenged to tap one of three colored orbs at the correct time, as it passes through a circle near the bottom of the screen. Similar in concept to Guitar Hero and Rock Band, you'll rack up points for staying in rhythm as long as you can without a mistake, pressing and holding some notes for a longer period of time and collecting multipliers for bonus points.

Behind the action are images of Katy Perry and graphics related to the song (such a seeing animated fireworks at key times throughout the song).

This free app – which might make you watch a Bing advertisement before you play (it seems to be random) – also lets you access Katy Perry lyrics from Bing, read tour info and follow her tweets – all from within the app.

As with many other free apps, there's also an option to upgrade to the full Katy Perry's Revenge game ($4.99) with many more of her songs -- including chart-topping tracks like "I Kissed a Girl," "California Gurls," "Hot N Cold," "Teenage Dream," and "Waking up in Vegas."

Reality star sisters tackle manicures, shopping, lunching and partying all in one day

There are so many in the Kardashian clan, they can get a lot done in one day.

Reality stars Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian appeared to be everywhere yesterday, doing what they do best - shopping, pampering, and partying.

While most mere mortals clocked on for a day in the office, Kim, 30, was enjoying a pampering session at a Beverly Hills nail salon.

The model, entrepreneur and now singer was typically glamorous in a leopard print shirt, black skinny jeans, towering Fendi heels and a Hermes handbag for her mani and pedi.

Kim's left the salon in flip flops after having her red nails changed into a more subtle French manicure ahead of a girls night out last night.

Miss Kardashian was later spotted at trendy STK restaurant in Los Angeles, where she dined with a group of girlfriends including Kelly Rowland and Serena Williams.

The reality star changed into a white and black dress for the dinner, with nude platform heels.

But it wasn't all relaxing and dining out, Kim did manage to get some hard work in too. She tweeted yesterday: 'Rise & grind! Had a really hard workout with my mom very early today! Feels good to get it out of the way! Now off to a fun photo shoot.'

Meanwhile, Kim's sisters Kourtney and Khloe were enjoying a day in the sunshine with their other halves.

Youngest sister Khloe, 26, had lunch at Cafe Med at the Sunset Plaza in West Hollywood with her husband, LA Lakers player Lamar Odom.

Never one to fade into the background, Khloe stepped out in bright red jeans with eye-catching shearling and leather buckled boots.

The loved-up couple laughed and wrapped their arms around each other as they strolled back to their car after lunch.

Khloe and Lamar, 31, who are about to star in their own reality spin-off series, also paid a visit to an office building in LA, and left hauling a Louis Vuitton suitcase.

Eldest Kardashian Kourtney also dined out yesterday. The 31-year-old was spotted outside La Scala restaurant with partner Scott Disick and baby Mason.

She spends half her time in New York, where partner Scott grew up, while Kim has her own luxury mansion and Khloe has moved in with husband Lamar.

Speaking to Cliq magazine, Kourtney said of Khloe: 'Kim and I feel like we don't know what's going on in that house. Every time we call she's being all secretive and whispering. We just don't know what she's doing over there.

'It's weird. ever since we got our own houses, I just don't go over there to just hang out and watch TV. We just don't do that.'

What will the iPhone 5
iPhone 5
After iPad 2 has already been presented officially, rumors about him, of course, stopped, but now they have focused on the new facility, Kojima became the iPhone 5, whose output is traditionally expected in June or July of this year. And that's what is rumored that it can be expected. Firstly, there are suggestions that the new iPhone will be aluminum body instead of glass, like the iPhone 4. Secondly, the antenna will be moved to another location (presumably for the logo) that will eliminate the problem of signal loss that exists in the current model. Oh, and thirdly, perhaps the iPhone 5 will be a new processor Apple A5, the same as in the new iPad 2. Smartphones are the fifth-generation iPhone will be equipped with wireless high-frequency communication modules, short-range

Near Field Communications (NFC), which are designed for contactless payments via mobile devices. This was announced today, March 14, wrote the British newspaper The Independent, citing sources among cellular operators. Unfortunately until this is all that is in the network relative to iPhone5

Hours Cristal Watch
The main idea of hours of Cristal is to design a custom minute and hour hands, which is shaped like a crystal. However, the beauty of this concept is a bit inconsistent with the practicality and readability. Therefore, in the center of the dial is also a LED display that shows the exact time and date. One press of a button on the right side of the clock - and the LED-display shows you the time, two clicks - and you'll see the date.

Big Brother Winner Josie Gibson Turns Princess
In her billowing white dress, it looks like Big Brother 11 winner Josie Gibson was dropping wedding hints to her boyfriend John James Parton.

But in fact the reality TV star was actually dresses as a princess for her royal-themed fancy dress party to celebrate her 26th birthday.

The Bristol blonde was joined by her Aussie boyfriend and a host of Big Brother stars at the Jewel bar in Piccadilly Circus.
After the party wrapped up at midnight, Josie was seen wondering around the street of London in her fancy dress outfit - which consisted of a corseted white dress and fuchsia gloves.

It appeared she had also substituted a pair of high heels for some comfortable Haviana flip-flops.

Nowhere to be seen was her Australian boyfriend John James - who she met on the defunct Channel 4 reality show last summer - who had been DJing in the party.

The reality star was clearly a bit merry after admitting the morning after the night before on her Twitter page she was a 'drunken twit'.

Writing on her Twitter page on Saturday, she said: 'I'm cringing today. Remembering what a drunken twit I am. Oh no...

'Oh no I keep getting flashbacks from last night. I'm sorry to anyone that was there.'

She also sent a Tweet to Big Brother 9 contestant Lisa Appleton - who attended the party - admitting she had fallen asleep in her fancy dress costume.

She said: 'Thank you so much for coming. I still got my dress on. LOL. Thank you so much.'

Also in attendance at the party was Big Brother 11 alumni JJ Bird and Mario Mugan, The Only Way Is Essex Candy Jacobs and Mikey Woods and Vanessa Feltz's boyfriend Ben Ofoedu.

Josie's birthday was actually in January, but she only got round to celebrating it now.

In recent weeks she has been promoting her debut perfume Josie.

Gibson won the 11th series of Big Brother last August and went on to appear on Ultimate Big Brother.

But she found it hard to fit in with the other celebrities and was pining for her boyfriend John James so quit the follow-up show after three days.

Since leaving the show, Gibson and Parton have moved in together in London and co-starred in a one-off Channel 5 documentary together last October.

In an interview last month, Gibson admitted the pair have come close to splitting several times.

She said: 'I think we've both considered calling it quits a few times. But I love him. John's really loyal and if he loves you he'll do anything for you.'

Sacked star Charlie Sheen sues sitcom makers
Actor Charlie Sheen has filed a $100m (£62m) legal action against the makers of Two and a Half Men after being fired from the US sitcom.

In court papers filed on Thursday, Sheen claims producer Chuck Lorre spent years "harassing and disparaging" him.

Mr Lorre, the action alleges, "believes himself so wealthy and powerful that he can unilaterally decide to take money away from the dedicated cast and crew".

Mr Lorre's attorney called the claims "recklessly false and unwarranted".

A spokesman for Warner Bros, also cited in the papers filed at Los Angeles Superior Court, declined to comment on the action.

Prior to his sacking, Sheen had a contract with the studio that ran to the end of the 2012 TV season, earning him $2m (£1.2m) per episode.

In his 30-page submission to the court, the 45-year-old claims he was only fired after he began publicly criticising Warner Bros and Mr Lorre.

The studio, he alleges, was "quite happy to line its coffers" while he received treatment for substance abuse and only acted because of Mr Lorre's "egotistical desire to punish" him.

"Charlie Sheen is not only seeking payment of his own compensation for the series, he is also pursuing claims for the benefit of the entire cast and crew [of Two and a Half Men]," court papers also stated.

On Thursday, police searched Sheen's home for guns that might be in violation of a temporary restraining order obtained last week by his estranged wife, Brooke Mueller.

A police spokeswoman said an antique gun had been retrieved and that the actor co-operated with the search.

The Cockerels Who Crow Ten Times A Minute
For the particularly proud country dweller perhaps, having a cockerel quintet who make their raucous dawn squawks 74 times in seven minutes might be something to crow about.

But not for the neighbours of Roy and Valerie Rylands.

Their complaints that the noise wakes them as early as 2.30am were placed before magistrates yesterday.

Neighbour Roger Morgan called in council noise abatement officials, who logged the farmyard five-piece crowing 112 times in 20 minutes and 74 times in a seven-minute period.

The council officer ordered the Rylands to keep their birds quiet after agreeing that the crowing was intrusive, incessant and would disturb sleep.

But the Rylands, of Bwlch-y-ffridd, near Newtown, mid Wales, went to court to appeal against the ruling.

Jonathan Salmon, for Powys county council, told magistrates in Welshpool yesterday: ‘Its very easy to be flippant about it but that doesn’t do justice to any party in these proceedings.

‘The council receive a number of complaints each year about crowing cockerels. One might say they are the rural equivalent of the burglar alarm that keeps going off in the night.

‘The issue is whether noise amounting to a statutory nuisance has existed at these premises.’

Mr Rylands, 67, and his 69-year-old wife have 106 acres and keep 55 hens and five cockerels named Boris (after London mayor Boris Johnson), Barack Obama, Jet, Rusty and John.

Outside court, he said: ‘We are running a farm. We’ve had hens for years. If we don’t win this, we will be put out of business. The only way to stop them crowing is to eat them.’

He's Charlie Sheen, and You are Not
Say what you will about Charlie Sheen — that he is a raving lunatic, an egomaniac, a train wreck, an anti-Semite, a drug-addled cautionary tale — he has also actually made some sense this past week by offering up a reasonably astute analysis of the relationship between the public and its celebrities. In fact, Sheen seems to have decided to liberate himself by liberating us from the illusions we harbor about the stars.

Most of us want to think of celebrities as ordinary folks who, by dint of talent, hard work and a bit of luck, ascended to the heights. We want to think of them that way, one suspects, because it binds them more closely to us and because it allows us to indulge the fantasy that it could be us up there on the screen.

Unlike Europeans, Americans have never much tolerated Sarah Bernhardts, the sort of grands artistes who exist in a different and higher realm from the hoi polloi. We take our democracy seriously, right into entertainment. We like a star who is modest, self-effacing, self-deprecating — in effect, one of us. That's why the fan magazines in the 1930s and 1940s featured Clark Gable and Carol Lombard lolling in their backyard just like any old married couple, or Joan Crawford tending to her brood just like any old mother.

This was the basic contract: Entertain us, and we'll grant you fame, riches and adoration — so long as you remain one of us. Violate that contract at the peril of your career. Abide by it, like, say, Tom Hanks, and you will be rewarded with longevity. All we ask is that you be, or at least appear to be, normal.

Bruce Willis once described the basic trajectory of celebrity in America as having four stages: You arrive, you peak, you bomb and you come back. Whether he realized it or not, Willis was also describing the phases that anthropologist Joseph Campbell had discerned for the hero across cultures — save for one thing. Heroes don't bomb. That is a distinctly American interpolation, one designed to ensure that our demigods never confuse themselves with gods. As our stars rose into the heavens, we reserved the right to humble them, to bring them back to Earth. Think of Eddie Murphy or John Travolta or Tom Cruise, all of whom seemed to get too big for their britches and were brought down a peg for it.

So Charlie Sheen's verboten media blitz flaunting a lifestyle that is decidedly not shared by the vast majority of his fans (how many of us have two live-in porn star "goddesses" or can profess to have consumed an amount of cocaine that would have killed a mortal?) explicitly violates the contract, which seems to have been Sheen's point.

He says he isn't off the rails like Mel Gibson or Lindsay Lohan. He insists he is the engineer. He is doing exactly what he wants to do, what his riches and fame allow and entitle him to do. As he puts it, he is embracing his "rock star" life.

The irony is that living large and doing exactly as he pleases has long been a central ingredient in Sheen's appeal. His role on "Two and a Half Men" as a womanizing, footloose bachelor seems lifted out of his real life, which is one of the reasons it is funny. We think we are seeing Sheen spoofing himself. When Sheen reminded us that his life is even more extreme than his character's, the media turned censorious — an example of trying to have your comedy and revile it too. Sheen is absolutely right to call this hypocrisy. He has never pretended to be a Boy Scout. He has always purported to be precisely the opposite.

More broadly, even as Sheen blows the whistle on the idea that celebrities are just like us (or that he has ever been anything other than a loose cannon), he also reveals the cracks in the "humble star-grateful audience" contract. When Willis was making his observations on celebrity some 15 years ago, he explained that Americans everywhere, having seen the benefits of fame, desired it. Increasingly, he noted, it isn't what we have in common with stars that binds us to them; it's exactly the opposite. Privilege and arrogance once repulsed us. Now, in our amped-up, success-obsessed culture, it attracts us.

And if Sheen isn't the first celebrity to be overtly imperial, he may be the first to tell us just how imperial he is. Think "Adonis DNA," and "winning, duh."

And that may be Sheen's real infraction to his detractors: In letting us know that he is nothing like us — that his life is the American dream on steroids and that many of us, as he says, are jealous of him for it — he has shown us that envy is at least as potent a force as identification. With his firing this week, one might even say that he sacrificed his career for the cause.

Kate Winslet appears completely line free as the face of Lancome

With results this spectacular, perhaps she just couldn’t say No.

Kate Winslet, who has waged a one-woman war against the airbrush, appears to have set aside her objections in her latest ad for Lancôme.

The actress, who delights in pointing out her wrinkles, spots and cellulite as Real Woman credentials, has been turned into an unearthly creature of perfection.

Scroll down to watch the advertisement
The 35-year-old mother of two stars in the campaign for a new lipstick range shot by Mario Testino.

Evidence of the airbrush at work is easy to see when you look at these two pictures.

The one on the left was taken during the shoot and, although she is perfectly made-up, there are a few lines visible around her eyes, along with shadows on her face and even a freckle.

The one on the right is the final product and enough to have the average woman rummaging in her bag for her concealer.

The younger Miss Winslet would have been indignant at any tampering with her image.

In 2003 she complained when a GQ magazine cover shot was digitally altered to make her look slimmer.

And only two years ago she proclaimed: ‘I have wrinkles which are very evident.

'I will particularly say when I look at movie posters, “You guys have airbrushed my forehead. Please can you change it back?”’

No doubt one glance at these remarkably flattering portraits convinced her that sometimes a little perfection doesn’t hurt.
