star wars tv show
star wars tv show. Live Action Star Wars TV Show Once Again Put On Hold!Star Wars creator George Lucas has once again cast doubt on the series ever making it's way to the small screen and it now looks like the projects future is uncertain...
Back in 2005, George Lucas announced that there was plans for a live action television show that would be set between the events of Revenge Of The Sith and A New Hope which would fill in the gaps of what happenned between those two movies.
However, at a recent screening of The Empire Strikes Back, he was quizzed about the future of that project and his reply was one that will surely leave many Star Wars fans feeling disappointed.

"The live action TV show is kind of on hold because we have scripts, but we don't know how to do them."

"They literally are Star Wars, only we're going to have to try to do them at a tenth the cost. And it's a huge challenge, a lot bigger than what we thought it was gonna be."

So there you have it. Other shows such as Firefly and Battlestar Galactica have shown that the genre can work on the small screen so there's hopefully still a chance we'll see this made in the near future! Share your thoughts on this in the usual place!

Meg Ryan to make directing debut
Meg Ryan, 49, will be making her feature directorial debut with the comedy/drama, "Into the Beautiful,"
The project, based on a script by Anne Meredith ("Bastard Out of Carolina"), is said to be a contemporary "Big Chill" about life-long friends reconnecting. The project was originally titled "Little Black Train."

Wendy Finerman ("Forrest Gump," "The Devil Wears Prada") and Nathalie Marciano have signed on to produce "Into the Beautiful." "I'm often drawn to pictures that make you laugh and cry," Finerman told Variety. "I think this is the perfect project for Meg to bring to life. She's poignant and funny and heartfelt."

It was reported in January that Ryan was dating musician John Mellencamp around the time that he filed for divorce from his third wife.

Ryan was married to actor Dennis Quaid between 1991 and 2001. They have a teenage son named Henry and a daughter, Daisy True, who Ryan adopted from China.

In recent years, Ryan has starred in movies like "The Women" and "Serious Moonlight." She also stars in the film "Lives of the Saints," which stars John Lithgow and 50 Cent and is due for release later this year.

Shooting for "Into the Beautiful" is scheduled to begin in September in New York.

Katie Couric May Leave CBS News
Katie Couric's days with CBS News may be drawing to a close, according to the LA Times.

Those familiar with the situation have said that Couric, the current anchor of the “CBS Evening News,” is contemplating a move into daytime television.

The Times reports that there has been widespread speculation, since the very beginning of Couric's tenure with the Evening News, that she was never entirely comfortable with the format.

Couric was signed to a 5 year contract, which expires in June of 2011, after a number of years with NBC's popular morning show, “Today.” In recent years, evening network news has declined in viewership across the spectrum of broadcasters.

The daytime television market will experience a void with the exit of The Oprah Winfrey Show later in the year. TV personalities such as Anderson Cooper have begun to vie for the chance to fill that void with new shows starting in the fall. Couric's hypothetical daytime show would not likely debut until the fall of 2012, according to the Times report.

Freida Pinto Dev Patel Romance is a Challenge

FREIDA Pinto admits her relationship with Dev Patel is a “challenge”.
The actress -– who has been dating the British star since they met on the set of Slumdog Millionaire — admits they are both focused on their careers, which means they spend a lot of time apart, but she insists the pair try not to let it disrupt their romance too much.
“I’m still together with Dev. It’s a challenge to meet mid-way because I live in Bombay,” she said.
“But at the same time, we both respect and support each other. We know this is our work. And we know that we’ve got to concentrate and focus on that as well, just as much as we concentrate and focus on the relationship.”
Though Freida is focused on her work, the actress’ friends have begged her to slow down because they fear her busy schedule is taking its toll on her health.

“I’ve been sick recently,” she said. “Overwork. My body was just screaming and telling me, ‘Stop what you’re doing for a bit.’ Recently a friend said, ‘Freida, you have to learn the art of saying, ‘No.’”

The Only Way Is Essex Girls Go Mud Wrestling
With just days until the second series of The Only Way Is Essex returns to our screens the characters are no doubt topping up their tans, primping their hair and ensuring their vajazzles are firmly in place.

But it seems two stars of the show tried out a novel way of getting into shape for the second round of cat-flights, tears and tantrums embarking on a grueling fitness boot camp – in true Essex style, of course.

Mark Wright’s former flame Lucy Mecklenburgh was joined by Arg’s girlfriend Lydia Bright and the girls weren’t going to let the muddy training getting in the way of looking their best and found enough energy to enjoy an impromptu mud-wrestling match.

The pair were joined by two friends who were also sporting a full face of make-up and blow dried hair for the outdoor activities at the No1 boot camp in Norfolk.

With their hair flowing behind them the girls ran down to the beach to begin their session carrying small weighted balls.

That in itself must have been a tough task for the girls who are more used to lifting boutique shopping bags than weights.

And the girls ditched their designer dresses and high heels for black exercise leggings and a low cut black vest, but didn’t opt for sports bras for the strenuous activities.

The girls did show willing and performed a number of exercises including a girl-style press up which displayed their ample cleavage and a wide-legged squat on the sand.

The girls then crawled through the mud and while they seemed to be exhausted at the activity seemed to be in good spirits, even when the trainer flicked mud across their made-up faces.

And perhaps aware of the cameras on them, or maybe just fans of mud-wrestling Lydia challenged Lucia to a bout and the pair got the grips with each other in the dirt.

Always ready to oblige a waiting photographer the girls got together for a group shot.

Lucy, who is a size eight and weights nine stone has revealed how all the cast members have been putting in extra effort getting into shape for the new series.

She told New! Magazine: ‘Everyone’s gone a bit hardcore trying to lose weight for the next series.’

The 20-year-old credits her own trim figure to zumba classes and poledancing

The Only Way Is Essex returns March 20th on ITV2 at 10pm

Charlie Sheen launches his own cookery show
He's currently unemployed after being fired from Two And A Half Men on Monday, but it looks like Charlie Sheen may have found a new vocation.

Taking his media blitz one step further, the father-of-five has hosted a spoof cookery show for the FunnyOrDie.com website.

Playing up to his new 'winning' catchphrase, the troubled actor wears a tiger-patterned chef's hat as he presents 'Charlie Sheen's Winning Recipes'.

Despite his erratic behaviour in recent weeks, the 45-year-old was praised for being 'very professional' during the filming at his Beverly Hills home.

Mike Farah, President of Production for FunnyOrDie.com, said the company had approached the actor on Sunday with ideas for a collaboration and he had been very forthcoming.

Farah told TMZ.com that Sheen was full of ideas and even suggested the tiger-patterned hat - playing up to his recent claim to drinking 'tiger blood'.

As Sheen was filming at home, a porn star was outside with a 'special delivery' from adult entertainment company Brazzers.

Actress Britney Amber turned up with a large box addressed to Sheen while wearing a T-shirt reading 'Charlie's Goddess'.
She was declined entry to the property, but she did manage to successfully deliver whatever was in the box.

After Sheen claimed he had tiger blood running through his veins, he's also been spotted drinking a bottle of red liquid with the words 'tiger blood' written across it.

But it turns out the source of 'Sheen's power' is actually Xango mangosteen juice.

A source close to Sheen he actually refers to it as 'mango juice' privately, despite hamming it up and claiming its tiger blood for the media.
However, one company has been inspired to launch a new energy drink called Bi-Winning Tiger Blood.

Sheen's impassioned outbursts about his strength and mental prowess have inspired the red drink, which is described on Harcos Laboratories's website as: 'Made from 100 per cent passion specifically to make your brain fire in a way that's not from this particular terrestrial realm.'

The website continues: "Tiger Blood allows you to use household items, you're welcome to take more drugs than anyone can survive.

'Be different, have a different brain, and a different heart. When you feel Tiger Blood in your veins, you'll realise dying's for fools and that can't is the cancer of happen.

'Period. The end.'

While the world is still reeling from the stream of garbled 'Sheenisms', Harcos is selling pouches of the drink for $4 each through the website.

The firm behind Sheen's on-screen shirts in the sitcom aren't so positive about the future after he complained about the 'silly shirts'.

Clothing company Da Vinci's pannelled shirts were inspired by one worn by his character Charlie Harper and endorsed by the actor.

But they're concerned about their business after he declared he was happy he didn't have to 'put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension'.

Chief designer Christopher Wicks told TMZ.com: 'Charlie's frustration is based on his current position in life, rather than the actual shirts. I wish him good health and happiness in his new found terrestrial dimension.'
Meanwhile, the actor revealed yesterday that over 74,000 people have applied to be his social media intern.

He only joined Twitter last week and has so far accrued 2.45million followers and is hoping to employ someone to spread his own brand of 'winning'.

Yesterday, Sheen appeared on a California radio station while running on a treadmill from his LA home.

The actor talked about his possible replacements to play his Two And A Half Men character Charlie Harper - and wished them good luck.

He also offered a 'half apology' to his former co-star Jon Cryer for calling him a 'turncoat and a troll' but later told the hosts of K-EARTH 101 that Cryer was awful at fluffing his lines.

During his breathless interview, Sheen also challenged Celebrity Rehab's Dr. Drew Pinsky to a boxing match.

Speaking about the experts who have branded him unstable, he said: 'I have to scoff at their silliness ... they never met the man.'

Sheen said he had been talking to Rob Lowe, who has been touted as his possible replacement.

'He's a buddy of mine, he's a beautiful man, he's a brilliant actor and I hope he does it and kicks its a** - because I still get paid.'

But asked if he had any advice for his possible replacement he joked: 'I recommend making it their own. Don't look at the 177 brilliant episodes I did, ignore the 400 re-runs every week that you can't avoid, cancel your Sheen ap.'

Asked about his former co-star Cryer, who he hit out at yesterday, Charlie said: 'I will apologise to Jon right now. I was kind of in a mood and I threw it out there to someone.'

When one of the presenters Lisa Stanley asked him he was formally apologising to Cryer, he back tracked, saying: 'A little bit, it's a half apology, it's an apol.'

He said that he was upset because Cryer hadn't been in touch following his sacking to say he 'had his back' which promoted him to make the comments to a U.S. celebrity website.

Later, when asked by host Gary Bryan about a reel of footage which Warner Bros. is said to have put together showing Sheen in a bad light, the actor appeared shocked at first.

The host explained that the reel supposedly showed Sheen forgetting his lines and being unable to perform his duties which Warner Bros. could use to justify sacking Sheen if the matter is the subject of a civil lawsuit.

But Sheen put on a strong front, blasting: ' I say poppycock. Is that the best they've got. Wow. Burial, losing, sizzle, bye.'

He claimed that Cryer was the one who always fluffed his lines: 'Jon's the bubble popper, but it's OK because it makes it fun for the [studio] audience.'

Sheen rounded off by saying that his TV days are 'probably behind' him, but said he was looking forward to going and making some movies.

Brooke Vincent and Sacha Parkinson Dress up as Playboy Bunnies
Coronation Street stars Brooke Vincent and Sacha Parkinson made history as the street's first female gay couple.

And the gorgeous pair, who have dressed up as Playboy bunnies in a racy new photoshoot, are now insisting that they'll leave the soap if producers break up the characters.

Brooke declares: 'If they split us up, I’d leave. It’s made too much impact for them to break it up.

'It’s gone past the line. Me and Sach think we should win Best Partnership at the Soap Awards.'

The gal pals dressed up in blush pink satin Playboy bunny outfits, complete with bow ties, bunny ears and cotton tails for a provocative photoshoot and interview for Heat magazine.

Lounging against an ornate bar, the girls, both 18, giggle and whisper in each other's ears as they work the cameras.

Sacha has hinted that perhaps their close bond off camera is even becoming something more, adding: 'We just come as a pair now. We tell each other we love each other all the time. I think we’re really starting to become our characters.'

The girls have also revealed their celebrity 'girl crushes'.

Both agree that What's My Name star Rihanna is their favourite. They add: 'And Nicki Minaj. Definitely. We just love Nicki’s attitude.'

The also actresses say they feel a responsibility to fans who can relate to their onscreen relationship.

Brooke, who has played Sophie Webster on the long-running soap since she was just 11, says: 'It’s mad when you realise how many people have come out because of the storyline.

'So many people have come up to us and said, “Thank you. Without this, I wouldn’t have been able to come out to my parents or have people accept me.”

'There’s a pressure to make it 100 per cent believable. Because we’re not gay ourselves, it could be like watching someone in a film trying to put on an Irish accent and getting it totally wrong.'

Sacha, also 18, adds: 'You don’t realise it at the beginning, but when you’ve been doing it for a while – and especially now because of Twitter – you get so many people saying things about it.'

In the soap, the pair play former best friends who have fallen head over heels in love.

Christian teenager Sophie was seen succumbing to her feelings for Sian in an episode screened in April.

Vincent said at the time: 'Sacha and I were friends long before Corrie and I'm so glad it's her. We've been to drama school together and known each other since we were six or seven.

'We've talked about it, we're so close so we'll be all right. I've just told her as long as she sticks to her own side when it comes to the kissing scenes things will be fine. But no tongues.

'It will also let other teenage girls know they are not the only ones going through it if they are experiencing something similar.

'Often there aren't as many lesbian characters on TV compared to gay ones so it's a really positive thing for the soap.
